  • Market saturation
How competitive is an area compared to similar counties? Ratios of residents per general dental office are plotted against median household income and presented alongside the state’s remaining counties as well as the national trendline.
  • Age
Is a particular age group over or underrepresented? In this section, both a county’s median age and percentage of its population in key age groups are displayed next to the state’s comparable figures.

  • Language
Are you bilingual or do you prefer to work in a language other than English? Or maybe you’re concerned that you won’t be able to connect with a large population of patients who don’t speak English.
  • Housing
Are homes owner-occupied or renter-occupied? In areas with larger renter populations, it’s easier for your patient base to pick up and move – leaving your practice behind.
  • Education
Have adults over the age of twenty-five received a four year degree? Educational attainment is a key component of an area’s Dental IQ.
  • Construction
